Come and stay in our
lovely tree house in the South West of France.
Built to accomodate up to 6 people, it is situated near the village of Marciac, in the region of the Gers, famous for the Three Musketeers and armagnac, among other things. The tree house is in woodland - very quiet and peaceful and perfect if you like doing absolutely nothing, meditating or lying in a hammock with a glass of wine listening to the birds.
There are birds galore - the usual blackbirds, robins and finches plus golden orioles, woodpeckers green and lesser spotted, hoopoes, redstarts, buzzards, and owls.
You may also see deer, foxes, badgers, grass snakes, and even the odd wild boar may rootle past. Don't worry, wild boar are very wary and probably won't be popping in for a glass of your wine. Also, you are 5 metres above them!
It is also a perfect starting point from which to tour this magnificent part of the world. All the usual French goodies are here - lovely villages, little restaurants, local wine, beautiful walks, and as a bonus, the Pyrenees are only about 1 hour away and the Atlantic coast about 2 hours away. The countryside is rolling hills, woods and rivers - and not too strenuous for the odd bike ride.
During the summer, there are all sorts of things going on in the area from village fetes to music and dance festivals and wine tastings at local chateaux. Marciac has a world-famous jazz festival during the first two weeks of August, which turns it from sleepy village to throbbing metropolis overnight.
The accommodation is spacious (for a tree house), with two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a big terrace. There is electricty, running water and a compost toilet. Even a washing machine. Linen is provided.
Prices for the tree house accomodation are as follows:

per night/€600 per week
1st May - 31st October €160 per
night/€1000 per week
