Q/ Do I need a large tree for my treehouse?
A/ No, a large tree is not required, but if you do have
one, fantastic. A treehouse can be built between a
number of trees.
Q/ Is the tree damaged during the construction of a
treehouse?
A/ No, the trees are never damaged. Trees are amazing
things and are respected hugely on our part. Special
brackets and limbs are attached to the tree during
construction which do no harm.
Q/ What kind of materials are used during construction
of a treehouse?
A/ We prefer to use as much reclaimed material as
possible. This would include wood, windows and doors,
roofing material etc. The bulk of the treehouse is made
from wood. Sometimes we use fallen trees from the
surrounding area, this adds to the story and character
of the treehouse.
Q/ What’s the ideal tree for a treehouse?
A/ Any strong healthy tree is a good host. Some of the
best are Oak, Beech, Chestnut, Ash, Lime, Cedar and even
large fruit trees.
Q/ Do you have set designs?
A/ No, we do not have any set designs. Every tree is
different and therefore we build the treehouse around
the shape of the tree/s. This is one of the beauty’s of
treehouses, each one organically unfolds depending on
the tree. We have many ideas from our experience in
building treehouses, but of course if you have your own
ideas then we would love to hear them.
Q/ How much does a treehouse cost?
A/ It’s impossible to say how much your treehouse would
cost, but we can give you an idea. The treehouses we
build range in price from £15,000 to over £60,000
(approx. 21,000 to 84,000 Euros).
Q/ What’s the next step?
A/ The next thing to do would be to contact us, then we
would arrange a consultation appointment. We would come
to your house, look for the best tree, and find out your
ideas and plans. Then you would receive drawings, plans
and a price. The cost of this is 600 Euros, if you go
ahead and we build the treehouse then this fee is
deducted from your final bill. If you live in a country
other than France then this cost would be higher due to
travel and accommodation expenses, please contact us for
